AlphaVPS annual pricing: a flat 15 per cent off every compute plan

Most hosts price annual billing as a flat discount. AlphaVPS is the cleanest example of that we have in the catalogue: across all 21 compute plans (Cheap, High-Performance and Ryzen lines), the annual per-month rate divided by the monthly rate lands between 0.8495 and 0.8505. That is a 15 per cent discount on every single compute plan, no exceptions and no teaser structure.

The compute ladder: monthly vs annual per-month

Prices below are from our harvest of alphavps.com on 8 October 2026, in euro. The annual column is the effective per-month rate when you pay for a year up front.

The mid-rungs follow the same rule: C6G, C12G, C16G, C24G, P8G, P12G, P16G, P24G and the rest of the Ryzen line (R2G, R3G, R4G, R6G, R8G) all carry the identical 15 per cent cut. Twenty-one compute plans, one discount.

Storage VPS: a bigger and less uniform discount

The storage line is discounted more than compute, and unevenly:

• Storage VPS 256GB: €2.50 monthly vs €1.67 annual per-month — 33 per cent off (€20.04 a year vs €30.00, €9.96 saved).
• Storage VPS 512GB: €3.00 vs €2.50 — 17 per cent off (€30.00 vs €36.00).
• Storage VPS 1TB: €4.00 vs €3.33 (€39.96 vs €48.00 — €8.04 saved).
• Storage VPS 2TB: €8.00 vs €6.67 (€80.04 vs €96.00).
• Storage VPS 4TB: €16.00 vs €13.33 (€159.96 vs €192.00).
• Storage VPS 8TB: €32.00 vs €26.67 (€320.04 vs €384.00 — €63.96 saved).
• Storage VPS 16TB: €64.00 vs €53.33 (€639.96 vs €768.00 — €128.04 saved).

The 256GB tier is the outlier at 33 per cent off; the rest of the storage line sits at roughly 17 per cent, slightly better than compute.

What the annual discount does not tell you: the renewal

AlphaVPS does not publish renewal rates in the checkout data we harvest — the renewal price field is empty on all 58 price rows in our database. That means we cannot tell you whether year two costs the same as year one. On a site that hunts renewal shocks, that is the honest caveat: the 15 per cent annual figure is verifiable on the first bill, the renewal is not published.

For contrast, hosts on our menu that do publish flat renewals: Netcup renews at the same price on four of its six plans, HostUS prices month to month with no annual commitment at all, and InterServer keeps its $3 slice price for life. On the other side of the ledger, RackNerd shows both extremes and Contabo's year-two jump is the classic trap.

Who this suits

If you already know you will run a VPS for a year, AlphaVPS's annual billing is a predictable 15 per cent saving on any compute plan — the discount does not punish small plans or reward big ones. The storage line rewards commit even harder, up to 33 per cent at the small end. Just treat the unpublished renewal as an open question until the second invoice arrives.
