AlexHost reviewed: offshore VPS from €6 with flat renewals and Monero payments

AlexHost SRL runs VPS from Chisinau, Moldova with nine further locations, monthly billing that renews at the same figure, and Monero plus eight other cryptocurrencies via xMoney. We checked the live prices in October 2026.

AlexHost (alexhost.com) is a Moldova-based host that markets itself on offshore privacy: an underground data centre in Chisinau, anonymous crypto payments and a jurisdiction most takedown notices never reach. What interests us, as ever, is the pricing — and we priced the whole VPS catalogue in October 2026; the AlexHost deals table mirrors what we found.

The location list is the real product

Unmanaged "U" VPS tiers ship from ten locations on one pricing grid: Moldova, the Netherlands, Sweden, Bulgaria and Switzerland sit alongside France, England, Romania and a US site in Las Vegas. The base tier U1 is €6/mo (1 vCore, 1.5 GB RAM, 10 GB NVMe, shared 100 Mbps in Moldova) and U2 is €10/mo (2 vCores, 4 GB, 40 GB) from any of the nine further locations. U4 tops the unmanaged ladder at €16/mo (4 vCores, 8 GB, 80 GB). Every deal in the table carries a "flat" or "fair" verdict, because the monthly figure is the renewal figure — there is no first-term discount to expire.

Platinum and Ryzen: the power tiers

The Xeon Platinum line tops out at €70/mo for 16 vCores, 32 GB RAM and 320 GB NVMe (P16), with the entry P1 at €8/mo for 2 GB — a straight multiplication from the €8 base, €70 at the top with nothing in between hidden. The same seven steps are quoted for the Las Vegas US location at identical prices. The Ryzen line runs €15–€85/mo for 1–6 steps (R1 15 GB–R6 85 GB class RAM allocations), which puts a mid Ryzen tier at €20/mo for 20 GB RAM — competitive with much larger names for pure RAM-per-euro. If you shop on price-per-GB, our cheapest annual VPS round-up covers the discount-heavy end of the table; AlexHost's pitch is the opposite: one honest monthly number, cancel whenever.

Paying anonymously: Monero via xMoney

AlexHost's own payments FAQ (updated May 2026) lists Visa/Mastercard, PayPal, Google Pay, Moldova's MAIB bank transfer, FreeKassa and a crypto suite via the xMoney gateway: Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, Monero, USDT, USDC, BNB, DASH and the xMoney token. The FAQ explicitly credits Monero as the "maximum payment privacy" route and warns that USDT defaults to the Polygon network — send on TRC-20 or ERC-20 instead and the FAQ says the funds are unrecoverable. One limitation worth knowing: crypto payments are manual per invoice; only card and PayPal support automated renewals.

What is missing

The site quotes no first-year promotions, so there is no intro price to lose — but equally no bargain hunting: NolimitCloud-style €3.66 entries are cheaper for tiny VPS, and the U1's 1.5 GB RAM and shared 100 Mbps make it a niche pick beyond the privacy use case. Shared hosting is priced separately and was not part of this check.

Verdict

AlexHost's case is jurisdiction plus payment privacy plus flat monthly pricing, and on those three axes it delivers: €6 entry, ten locations on one grid, identical Platinum pricing in Moldova and Las Vegas, and a documented Monero path. For buyers whose priority is privacy rather than the absolute cheapest gigabyte, it is a rare combination at these figures.
