Dediserv reviewed: European dedicated servers from EUR 49 a month, no annual lock-in
Dediserv is a small Dutch-German-Polish dedicated server host built on used HP Proliants and monthly contracts: entry boxes from EUR 49 net a month, free setup on every server, three bargain discounts and no first-year teaser. We re-checked the live plan table in October 2026.
Dedicated servers in western Europe usually mean Hetzner, OVH or a sales-quoted configurator. Dediserv (dediserv.eu) is smaller and stranger: an operation that has been renting out second-hand HP Proliants since 2011 from three data centre parks in the Netherlands, Germany and Poland, on monthly contracts with free setup. We re-checked its live dedicated server table in October 2026 against the Dediserv listing on our deal table — all 21 servers matched line for line.
The line-up, verified live
Every server is quoted net, EUR per month, free setup, monthly contract, listed with its traffic allowance and port speed on the page:
- PL1, Warsaw: HP Proliant DL120G6, Pentium G6950, 8 GB, 250 GB — EUR 49/m, the cheapest box on the list.
- NL1, EvoSwitch Holland: DL120G7, Pentium G850, 4 GB, 2×500 GB — EUR 59/m, 100 Mbit unmetered.
- DE1, Equinix Germany: DL120G7, Xeon E3-1220L, 4 GB, 500 GB — EUR 59/m, currently EUR 49/m as a bargain.
- NL3: DL120G7, Xeon E3-1230, 16 GB, 2×1 TB — EUR 99/m.
- NL6: DL180G6, 2×Xeon E5620, 8 GB, 4×1 TB HW RAID — EUR 179/m, currently EUR 149/m, with 100 TB traffic on a 1 Gbit port.
The rest of the rung spreads from EUR 59 to EUR 209 (dual-socket DL180G6 boxes with SAS disks at the top), with one outlier: DE7, an Equinix DL120G7 with 1 Gbit unmetered at EUR 569 — priced for IP space and unrouting, not compute. Hardware across the list is uniformly older HP gear (G6/G7 generation, Sandy Bridge-era Xeons). That is the trade you make for the price.
The bargain page is real
Bargains are listed on their own page and mirrored in our deal table as offer prices: DE1 at EUR 49 (EUR 10 off), DE2 at EUR 79 (EUR 20 off), NL6A at EUR 149 (EUR 30 off). These are permanent-line discounts rather than first-month coupon codes, and the renewal column equals the current price — a rare property in an industry built on the renewal shock.
Free setup, monthly contract, built-in KVM
Every data centre park includes something free: built-in KVM on all Switch Datacentre and Equinix boxes, iLO on the Warsaw ones, and free setup everywhere. Contracts are monthly; no annual prepayment ladder exists to fall into, and there is no first-year teaser rate anywhere on the site. Upgrades are itemised openly: EUR 10/m for 6 TB traffic, DirectAdmin EUR 5/m, cPanel EUR 29/m, R1Soft backup from EUR 20/m, and extra IPs at EUR 1–6/m depending on park.
How it compares
Against our sub-$50 dedicated round-up, Dediserv's entry boxes sit at the top of that bracket rather than inside it — EUR 49 net is roughly $53 gross — but you get Equinix- or EvoSwitch-grade facilities, European routing over TeliaSonera, Level(3) and NTT with AMS-IX/DE-CIX peering, and a monthly exit ramp that the cheap US specialists do not always offer. For raw pound-per-core at scale, RedSwitches builds-to-order cheaper; Dediserv wins when you want a named HP box in Amsterdam, Frankfurt or Warsaw tonight and the right to hand it back next month.
Verdict
Dediserv is not for everyone: hardware is ageing, traffic beyond 5 TB costs extra, and the design has not changed since 2011 (the copyright line is the proof). But for the very specific case of an EU dedicated server with free setup, transparent upgrades, bargain-priced older inventory and no contract lock-in, it is an honest, verifiable option — and one of the few whose live price table still matches a third-party listing.
